This machine gets constipated at each ends. The exit chute is narrow and often desires unblocking, otherwise it begins to spit out bits from the best. the hopper on prime also gathers debris, and is impossible to clean out. The screws holding it on only turn one way and can't be unscrewed. Soon after various attempts I had to saw it off! Only then could I get an uninterrupted flow of material going in, with only occasional stops for unclearing the chute. There is nonetheless some distance from the entrance to the blades, so it will not chop off your fingers unless you attempt extremely difficult! I now have many bags of shredded pine wood to use as a mulch. But not without a lot of swearing. JL
