Costumer Critiques
I bought this considering that following cutting down a hedge I had a huge pile of clippings and wanted an simple way to get them into bags to take off to the dump.
It did an outstanding job on one particular set of clippings (bay) turning the pile swiftly into a mound of fine shreddings that I have added to the compost heap. It's rather satisfying too!
On the clippings from another element of the hedge it was a lot more disappointing. This was leafy laurel, and even the thin bits refused to go through the shredder at all, at which point I had to resort to a pair of secateurs to chop the branches into small pieces.
My overall comment - does a spectacular job on some of your clippings but you'll nonetheless have some perform to do your self.
Lightweight and easier to move than 2 other shredders I have had, but the noise is extremely loud and one particular demands the ear defenders on without doubt, otherwise ears go kinda numb! Not so really good at shredding woody bits little, just reduces them slightly in size and can jam the machine. Hassle-free to unblock and clean. Will carry on making use of, but would not invest in this model once more.
